ERD “Piano Keys” Dissolving Face T-Shirt — Black

The face is melting. The keys are waiting.

A child’s face, printed in high-contrast black and white from a photograph — heavily exposed, the forehead and upper skull blown out to near-white, the eyes receding into darkness below it. The image does not stop at the face. A thread of white extends downward from the chin, as though the overexposure is not a photographic accident but a process that is still ongoing — the face dissolving, leaking out of itself, leaving a trace on the black ground beneath it. ERD treats faces this way repeatedly: present, but coming apart; identifiable, but in the middle of becoming unrecognizable.

Three letters. Three dots below them, each aligned to a key. The brand name reduced to its initials, spaced like a musical notation or a transmission in code. The keys are not playing. They are just standing there, white against black, next to a face that is dissolving.

ERD does not bridge the gap between these two images. The face does not explain the keys. The keys do not react to the face. They are placed together because they belong to the same world — a world where a child’s image is treated like a photographic experiment, and the brand identifies itself quietly in between the notes, and nothing resolves.
