ERD 24SS Madonna Zip-Up Hoodie — Washed Black

The zipper runs through her face.

Washed black heavyweight fleece, zip-up construction. This is not a pullover — the zip-up format is a structural decision: the zipper bisects the front panel, and the image composition is built around that split. The photographs do not avoid the zipper. They are placed so the zipper runs through them, dividing them, the metal teeth becoming part of what you see when you look at the garment.

The left front panel carries a large vertical photograph — a close-cropped female face, high-contrast black and white, the image scaled so the face fills the panel from chest to hip. This is Madonna: not an illustration, not a logo, but a photograph of her, treated as a found document and printed at a scale that makes the face architectural. When the jacket is open, the face is whole. When it is zipped, the zipper runs directly through her. ERD does not treat this as desecration. It treats it as a fact about how images work when you put them on clothes with closures.

The right panel carries two smaller framed images: a close-up of a hand holding a jeweled or glass object, precise and still; below it, a figure bent or turning, the motion blurred, the body in the middle of something. The left sleeve runs a large vertical text or graphic print from shoulder to elbow — white on black, bold, the arm becoming a surface as legible as the chest.

The ERD label sits at the inner collar. The construction is oversized, dropped shoulder, with front patch pockets on each panel in addition to the hand pockets at the hem.
