ERD Overexposed Portrait Pullover Hoodie — Washed Charcoal

Washed charcoal heavyweight fleece — deep gray, not black, the color of something that has been exposed to light for too long. The surface is heavily treated, the fabric uneven in tone, and the kangaroo pocket area shows deliberate distressing: worn-through marks that look less like damage and more like part of the image.

The front is a single composition. At the top, in small type: riches déprimés, then a line of the ERD logo mark in a compressed, layered font. Below that, the portrait: a woman with long hair, head turned or lowered, the image printed in high-contrast white with the overexposure pushed until her face begins to dissolve into light. This is not a photograph of a person. It is a photograph of a photograph that has been left in the sun — the whites expanding, the details retreating, the subject still present but only just. Overlaid on the figure, partially obscured by the image itself and by the pocket below, text fragments: letters that could read as a name or a word, broken across the body of the print. Beneath the figure, a line of Japanese text runs small — a note, a subtitle, a caption in a language the image does not otherwise speak.

The distressing on the pocket panel reads as part of the print: white smears at the edges where the image meets the fabric seam, as though the overexposure has bled outward from the photograph into the garment itself.

There is no back print. The front is enough. The face is already half gone.
