Front: A large jacquard-knit portrait composition centered on the chest — woven directly into the fabric rather than printed, giving the image a pixelated, lo-fi quality inherent to the knit structure.

Text — arching above the portrait: AILEEN WUORNOS — in bold, slightly irregular black knit lettering, arching in a curved banner above the face. The letterforms have a hand-drawn or pixelated quality from the knit construction — slightly rough, not perfectly uniform.

Portrait: A large knitted face — a frontal or near-frontal portrait of Aileen Wuornos, the American serial killer executed in 2002, rendered in high-contrast black-on-cream jacquard. The face is simplified by the knit medium: dark hair framing the face, strong features, a direct or slightly downward gaze. The pixelation of the knit creates a screen-printed or bitmap quality — the image readable as a portrait but structurally composed of knit stitches. ERD has used Wuornos as a recurring reference figure — a woman condemned by a system that failed her, recontextualized as a subject of mourning, rage, or solidarity.

Sleeves: Two horizontal black knit stripes on each sleeve — positioned at the upper arm, running parallel around the circumference. Varsity or athletic in reference, functioning as the garment’s secondary graphic element.

Back: Plain cream knit — no intarsia or print. The back view shows the black collar, sleeve stripes, and ribbed hem cleanly.
